The profession of a COOK is multifaceted and is primarily there to make people happy. With our Franconian-rooted, but also international cuisine, we strive to make our guests enjoy their visit to the Hotel Mainpromenade.

The profession of chef is varied, extremely creative and comes with a high level of responsibility. We are looking for young people who are keen to experiment, who want to use food in a way that tastes good and makes economic sense.

This is your apprenticeship pay:

Cooks are real experts in pleasure. The core of their tasks is the preparation of dishes and menus. To do this, they learn all the important working techniques and interesting facts about food - from meat and fish to plant-based cuisine and desserts. This solid basis enables the next generation to have a professional future in a wide variety of businesses: From guesthouses to business hotels, from large kitchens to star restaurants or even on a cruise ship. Cooking is both a craft and an art.

The new training occupation of kitchen specialist is aimed at all those who want to learn professional cooking from the ground up in a practical way, but want to deal less with theory and numbers. Kitchen specialists are familiar with kitchen basics: they learn how to process and prepare all kinds of food. They know how to prepare simple dishes and meals of meat, fish and vegetables. They can arrange and garnish salads and desserts and make simple soups and sauces. To do this, they learn different working and cutting techniques and cooking methods, as well as how to handle recipes and kitchen equipment. They can also receive and store goods and are familiar with hygiene.

The profession of HOTEL MANAGER is multifaceted and is divided into different and exciting areas. The main goal is to make each guest's visit perfect and to fulfil their needs for enjoyment, rest and luxury. This applies to the gastronomic as well as the hotel side of each visit.

Hotel specialists are all-rounders who master the work in the different areas of an accommodation business. The core tasks are reservations and reception. Hofas" are also thoroughly trained in food & beverage (service and kitchen), housekeeping (design and maintenance of rooms), merchandise management and marketing. In this way, they have an overview of the interfaces between the departments and ensure that the quality is right everywhere and that the wheels mesh smoothly. Professional communication with guests runs like a thread through all activities - in personal sales or advisory talks, at check-in as well as via digital channels. Thus, hotel specialists are the mind, heart and soul of the hotel.

Restaurant and event catering professionals have their guests' well-being in mind - whether it's an intimate candlelight dinner or a large conference, a unique wedding celebration or daily à la carte service. They have the host role in the restaurant, at the bar and at the most diverse types of events. You are proficient in all processes, from seasonal and occasion-related preparation of the rooms to advising guests and expertly serving drinks, food and menus to invoicing.

Catering specialists have mastered the basics of the catering trade: they greet and advise guests, serve drinks and food and cash up. Specialists are the face and voice of their business to the guest. It is their job to create the guest experience, to be friendly and knowledgeable advisors, salespersons and caretakers. To this end, they also learn the basics about food and its use in gastronomy in the kitchen and everything important about the design and maintenance of guest rooms in the business service.
